TANK EdDucates LLC is dedicated to culturally responsive pedagogy and life skills specifically targeting underserved populations. Our organization utilizes a student-centered approach to teaching and mentoring which identifies and nurtures students’ cultural strengths to promote cultural education, learning engagement and outcomes. We support school districts, faculty, colleges/universities, government agencies, community stakeholders and organizations.
Our services assist organizations to achieve their goals by delivering customized support to their clients. This process is achieved through the T.A.N.K. Initiative, where we emphasize teaching, advocacy, and necessary knowledge supported by measurable analytics. The goal is to leverage students’ sociopolitical context to better engage them in the learning process. TANK EdDucates LLC offers various motivational lectures, mentoring programs, workshops, and presentations focused on curriculum development, interpersonal skills, functional skills, and cultural knowledge to empower at-risk communities.
The organization was founded by Dr. Emmanuel Cherilien, an Education Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the field of education and leadership. Dr. Cherilien previously served as a member of a regional management team of a Fortune 100 company. In this capacity, he was responsible for managing over 50 employees and over $14 million in revenue. Currently, a motivational speaker and senior lecturer at Rowan College, his skill set crosses various disciplines. He brings extensive expertise in a broad range of subjects including business administration, community organizing, education, sociology, philosophy, and history.
Dr. Cherilien’s dissertation is entitled, “A Collective Case Study Understanding the Barriers to College Access Facing Low-Income African-American Males.” His research interests inspired the formation of TANK EdDucates LLC.
